Method:

I will produce a short live-action film depicting the impact of negative events on a character, and how this affects their interactions with other characters.

Response:

After several discussion with my classmate, Emmett, on his extensive knowledge of muppets, I became interested in producing my own puppet short film. I was also very interested in trying out new mediums after the realisation that a lot of my CPS Folio 1 works were digital animations.

I conceived a simple story that serves to explain how the yellow puppet becomes jaded through their negative experiences and what impact those changes have on their future interactions with other characters.

After hand-crafting the puppets, I filmed each shot and edited them together in Adobe Premiere, adding colour correction and colour replacement effects. I attempted quickly animating coffee in TV Paint over recorded footage of the falling coffee cup, and compositied it over the original footage in Adobe After Effects.
