Week 1 - Observation
http://magistudio.net/work/csp-week-1-observation
In this class, the meaning of “observation” I have learned is it is a perspective that is neither subjective nor objective. In the process of observation, we can pay attention to the details of the object itself and observe its impact on us.
At first, I was confused about what I wanted to do, but I know that I have always been interested in natural elements. I decided to explore the campus and draw some illustrations of plants. Soon after I started painting, it started to rain, and I had to find another place to start painting. This made the drawing process more interesting.
I think if I do the subject of observation now, I will be more creative, not only focus on the appearance of the plant. I should record its color, what it reminds me of, and the feeling of rain. They should be seen as a whole of the observation.
Week 2 - Tinkering as method
http://magistudio.net/work/cps-week-2-tinkering-4
This week, Max tells us to create something with the method of tinkering, and in this week, the most important thing is the process of trying and figure out what is the result I want to create.
On the previous day, I was trying to build my Studio one’s idea. The idea of "exploring a new world" is lingering in my mind. It was a natural thing for me, I started to try to explore the possibility of this idea. The first thing I did was to draw the characters I imagined. With this feeling, I started to draw some rocks and crystals. This made me confirm that the atmosphere I like is mysterious and natural. After I think I caught this feeling, I made a completely colored illustration to show my imaginary atmosphere.
I think the result of this attempt is satisfactory to me, however, what I did less well is recording and showing the process of tinkering. If I can do it again, I will choose to use the mind map and the sketch to show the process of thinking instead of jumping directly to the beginning.
Week 3 - Find object

In this week, I took my bracelet as an item. This bracelet has some metal nuts decoration, and if you open it, you can see some beautiful gold leaf decorated artificial gem. This made me think of the Milky Way, also reminds me of the physicist's metaphor about "the universe is in the husk".
I think this stop motion video shows my thoughts, but for a variety of reasons, its pixels are low. In future works, I should pay more attention to the quality of the video.
Week 4 - Discussions of place
http://magistudio.net/work/week-4-csp-place
I think the most interesting part is finding those interesting places on campus. I like to make creative associations and assessments in my mind. The goal of this stage is to discover places and things that I have not been noticed in everyday life. This reminds me of the first week of the observation task.
The process of doing doodle is a little longer than I thought because I am still learning how to make an animation. After a few weeks, Kate suggested that I can use two frames of length to animate, and I found out why the previous animations seemed inconsistent. If I can re-do this video, I hope I can show it with smoother animation.
Week 5 - Objects are not exhausted
http://magistudio.net/work/cps-week-5-2
This week, firstly I found some small stones. I think this is a potential discussion of the topic that the object can be itself without human involve. The first idea is to make stones that collide with music and add personality to them. However, this method doesn't work because I have no experience in making music, and it is difficult to make stone music in the environment without noise interference in the urban area.
My final result is that these stones are actually mushrooms, and as the lens moves, they grow on their own and then eventually become rocks. This gives me a feeling of metaphor for the natural growth process.
I like the final result, but I think this week's method is somewhat similar to week 3's work. It is all based on the stop motion animation of clay. Although the theme is not the same, I hope that my future works can explore more methods.
