CPS - WEEK 5 - Objects are not exhausted - The Wall

In response to the theme of “Objects are not exhausted”, I portrayed grass randomly growing out of a brick wall using Maya, Arnold renderer and photoshop. By doing so, I depicted the co-relation and co-existence between grass and bricks without human intervention. I depicted that without humans being the top of the pyramid or being the center of everything, objets and life can co-exist. Walls are made by humans for the dole purpose of depicting clear boundaries but somewhere, grass or in this case life grows out of the lifeless thing that a wall is thought to be and nature does not know any boundaries.  I got my inspiration as similar work has been produced by working on similar concept of letting the objects and nature interact on their own has been produced by a Polish artist named Jacek Tylicki in the year 1973. He used to leave sheets of canvas in various parts of nature and the environment such as riverbeds, forests and various other areas for long durations of time and he used to let nature do the painting for him.
