In response to the theme of Objects are not exhausted, I made a picture by using photoshop. At first, I wanted to draw a story about stone and city, and later I felt that the tombstone would be more interesting.
By exploring this concept, I showed that the relationship between the tombstone and the sea. The painting is inspired by the Chinese poet Haizi's poem "Facing the sea with spring blossoms", which contains the phrase "Living in a house towards the sea, with spring blossoms". He committed suicide a few years after he completed the poem. So I chose tombstones and the sea as the subjects of my painting.
Similar work has been produced by Christoph Schulz whose photography is a reference to my scene.
