In response to the theme of Object-Oriented Ontology, I created a clip of sound by Audacity.
I edited the sound of a ship (original author: nebulus Flynn) to make it sound as much like whale's song as possible. Starting from the theme of 'Object Oriented Ontology', I hope to explore the ship, an object created by human beings, if living in a world without interference of human consciousness. I got some inspiration from my childhood experience (I was born on an island). The pictures in the video were taken in my hometown. When I was a child, I often stood there, looked at the sea, imagined some wild and absurd stories, and waited for the huge ship appear on the sea. For me, it was not a cold object, but a huge, living creature.
Songs of the humpback whale (by Dr. Roger Payne) also gave me some inspiration. This is a piece of music composed of whale sounds. I really like whale sounds, it makes me feel that I have a real connection with this ancient planet.
