In response to the week’s theme of ‘Object-oriented ontology’, I draw a poster or a concept design for a world called ‘The shadow world’. The concept is that in this world, everything is totally white, there is no other color. Because of this, people cannot see each other, animals do not know where to look, objects have no shape. In this world, how do everything itself looks doesn't matter, but how the shadow looks really matters. By drawing different people in different events, animals, and some interesting interactions between shadows, I showed some possibilities in this world. But because they are all shadows, so we do not know what is really happening there, shadow can lie. There are lots of similar works, for example, the shadow artwork by Kumi Yamashita, ‘Dirty white trash’ by Tim Noble and Sue Webster.
