This week's theme was object oriented ontology and I decided to go with the sword in the stone. In the original story, whoever is able to pull out the sword is the rightful king of England, but what if we were to remove humans from the equation, how does the sword impact its surroundings?
I began brainstorming some ideas of how the natural elements would relate to it. What if a squirrel was using it to crack acorns open, or spiders were bungy jumping off the handles, moss growing closer to the sun? Rahul also commented what is the sword to the stone? I thought of combing both points of view, the sword is the beacon the other animals/living things come towards thus offering the stone a not so lonely life. I did a quick illustration to show this.
