Explore with place, make with place
I am going to create a 2D animation where I can show an unprecedented scene of an animated character and their location.
After watching Pencilmate on Youtube, I thought more about unlikely links with ordinary objects. I ran with the idea of the red button but decided to explore this in a different space. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2RhoDI1kaw)
I made a short animation where a woman on a bus sees her stop and presses the red 'Stop' button. A zap emits from the button and the lights go completely out on the bus. For this piece I used TVpaint 11.
My original intention was to make the bus driver power down after the button was pressed and to have other passengers plug in a portable battery pack to power them back up, however due to time constraints I wasn't able to follow through with my original thoughts. As this was my first proper attempt at using TVpaint to animate (a special thanks to Ben for showing me a couple of tips) I am pretty happy with how this turned out even if I didn't accomplish all that I had hoped.
