CPS Week 4 Location (Place)

This is the submission for week 4 of of CPS.

In response to this week's theme of Location, I made a rough illustration of a person in two different locations performing the same task. I used Procreate to make this.

By doing so, I tried to explore the idea of how separate locations can shape the same person in different ways, giving a different perspective on a similar type of action. I tried to bring home the idea that a person is shaped by their location and hence they together kind of become one whole character.

I drew a fish market seller in a cyberpunk era in two different locations (fish market in Kolkata, India and Melbourne, Australia) to show how a location can affect and shape the character of a person even when they have similar actions or motives.

I went a little crazy with the colour scheme as I tried to experiment with it a little more. Even though they are just the first layers of colour, Similar colour scheme has been used by C.A.Chou and I tried to use their art as a reference. I also referenced some old pics and videos I had taken years back to recreate the Kolkata version of the illustration and used some stock pics of the Melbourne fish market for the right hand side illustration.
