In response to the theme of discussions of place, I imagined an ice cream world where even the sea is full of Ice cream. Then I reimagined that and created the sea in the shape of an Indian ice cream Popsicle. As a response to the week’s theme, I decided to create a photo manipulation. To do so, I created 3d models of an ice cream, ship and mountains. I designed and rendered them in Maya and added backgrounds and edited it in Photoshop. By doing so, I tried to convey the idea of a world in which everything is created out of an ice cream. In this world, ice cream plays the central role and everything revolves around it and where ice cream is at the top of the pyramid. I got my inspiration of relating an Indian ice cream, with the ice cream world and summer because of the approaching summers in my home country India. I even researched before beginning my work and came across many photo manipulation artists. For instance, Gilbert Christophe is one such photographer who also does nature related photo manipulations.
