In response to this week's theme "Found Object", I reimagined a whiteboard marker's purpose to a highly lethal weapon from a galaxy far far away.
After pondering on how it looks and how it's shaped, the marker has a resemblance to a lightsaber handle. This animation was inspired by an idea I had a few years ago: "What if all pens and pencils can become swords". Surely there will be laws and age limits of possessing a marker. It will probably be treated as owning a weapon but with ink!
I used After Effects to create the vector and the motion and took benefit of the free Saber plug-in from Videocopilot.
Lightsabers and its sound effects are from the Star Wars franchise.
