In response to the theme of Founnd Object this week, I appropriately modified a photo in photoshop and made it into an ink painting style picture of a Chinese fantasy creature through some paintings.
This photo is from a corner of my room. The paint on the wall peels off and reveals the deep structure, and forms some patterns. I found that some of the patterns looked like whales, so I created this painting based on the inspiration of online literature and videos.
In the popular novel Swordsman in Shu Mountain (1997), it is mentioned that a school was built on the back of a huge whale. Due to its age, this novel is now hard to find. In Parsec's video(2016), a flying whale was made using virtual vision technology.
