In response to the theme of Tinkering, I made a prototype consisting of a character controller which rolls a ball around and can explode pushing away nearby objects using Unity.
I've tinkered with the character controller ensuring the movement was right and it corresponds to where the camera is facing. I also had to ensure the explosion had the right radius and force to push away any objects nearby the ball.
The prototype is similar to the games Super Monkey Ball, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, and Glover as those games require the player to navigate using a ball-like object in levels. Each of those games differentiate from each other as the object in question has their own purpose whether as an objective or as a tool for the player to navigate through the level with.
