I am re-posting my Week 2 Tinkering task because I was not able to open the page. It keeps showing up one of my classmates work and replaces my work.
Theme: Tinkering
Method: I want to make a small stopmotion using clay. I will create small narrative stories to make my stopmotion. I will use clay and place eyeballs so that it looks like a character. I will then start clicking photos and moving my character side by side to create a stopmotion animation.
Context: I got inspired by an artist named, Alex Unger who is a Swedish claymation animator and sculptor. He made a stopmotion called the magic soap. He focused on the technique used to simulate a bouncing motion. I decided to do something similar and create some narrative ideas. I will be using clay to create my stopmotion animation.
Response: When I first looked at one of my stopmotion video, I was not happy with the end results because it didn't look like anything and I couldn't understand what was happening there. As I continued to make more animations for my class task, I thought about some small narrative and started clicking pictures again. I started to see a big change and I was happy I was able to create something. The videos are uploaded onto the magi site.
