In response to the weekly theme Forces this week, I made constraints for my later work before advocating into variable AI generators, they are:
1. One-day practice. 2. Laptop-friendly. 3. Digital production, not handmade. 4. Only bug animation.
Firstly, By generating bugs-related animation on AI generator Hotpot.ai, which is based on what I text. However, after several generic images came out, I realized they only mimicked dynamic brushes, not animation frames. Thus I turned to Google Colab which generates animation with frames. Hence I inputted those rules above on its webpage and gained sophisticated results. However, each word has the same weight due to my rules in this algorithm, which is why this final anime does not have an attractive visual center. Similar work has been produced by Paris-based arts-collective Obvious, whose work Edmond De Belamy explores this theme by processing GANs Algorithm that referenced 15,000 portraits from various periods. This celebrated one also belongs to a series of images called La Famille de Belamy generated by the same set of rules and were inkjet printed on canvas.
