In response to the theme of observation, I produced a serious of sketches using digital drawings. By reinterpreting Chinese characters(not reconstructing), I showed that something we viewed everyday can be turned into something we’ve never seen. This is similar to how people viewed a new language.
Similar effect are presented in some AI generated images. While items in the images look familiar, but our brain understand none of those.
