Context: Lines in the campus from a bird view. I want to observe the structures from a very high position, so that I can't see much details but only lines and shapes. But I fail to get the permission of getting on a roof of the highest building. Then, I decide to find an google map image from a satellite, which might be more better than I find a high building. When I Ignore the details but focusing on the outlines of the building, I find a very different sight from the buildings that I familiar with.
Method: I screen-record the Satellite view of RMIT city campus from google map. Then, I cover a paper on screen and drew all the line that I saw through the paper. I don't focus on the details and colours.
Response: During the drawing, I don't know what the structure is, because the map looks very obscure through the paper. But it prevents me from focusing on distinguishing what structures I am drawing, so I can only portray the pattern. And, if l make a mistake, I won’t correct it. After I fill up the whole empty space, I observe the patterns that I draw. I import in photoshop and a layer to colour it, which is trying to give a texture of the lines.
