In response to the theme of observation, I made a 3D model of my funky, kitschy, slinky-like foldable water bottle. Software choice was Maya using standard box-modelling techniques.

By using camera perspective, I was able to show the sentinel-like character I think of every time I look at the original water bottle.

The bottle reminds me of a slinky – the bottle compresses into a disk, in a similar way. During the process of making the 3D model, it also made me think of the style Bauhaus theatre costumes adopt by introducing separate compartments to an overall form.
