Theme: Time
Context: This week I had planned to make rain in unity and have it as a part of Folio2 as I introduced the mood marker in. I was inspired by a education game about weather by Marcopolo Learning (https://www.marcopololearning.com/home.html). In the game, you can choose the weather and it will show you what it's look like and feel like in that weather condition. Player can also choose how strong the wind will be etc. However, I always have this idea in my mind before this theme was introduced. I was inspired by the matix iconic scene of Keanu Reeves dodges the bullet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c8Dl2c1whM). It will be similar mechanic. The rain will be in slow motion whenever user performs mouse button long-click like when the bullet were fired out of the gun. Once the mouse button is released, it will rain in normal speed as same as when Keanu Reeves got scratched by a bullet.
However, I couldn't make it happen. I had tried to make rain looks like what I prefer but it all went wrong. I changed my plan, the slow motion concept is still there but no rain. During this week, I was watching a japanese animation named "Naruto" as well. His current form (That I watched to that episode but not up to date episode) has many orbs behind him so I tried to stimulate the orb behind the character.
Method: Follow tutorial on YouTube or somewhere else. Using any tool that will allow me to create rain and make it slow motion when perform long-click in Unity to support work in Studio1 Folio. Slow motion function maybe create by C# script or option given in Unity. No plan was made. The problem I encounter during the project, I will find the solution for each of it at that moment.
Response: An Interactive created from Unity program that can intereact with user. The orbs which are running in circle behind a red creature were created to running slow motion when perform long-click by C# scripts. It was created by 2 scripts; slow motion code which I learned from YouTube and Long-click detected code that I had learned while doing Studio1 Folio. The Asset in Unity Store was used to make overall visual looks nice instead of using a capsule shape as a character.
