Theme:

Time

Method:

I will use the pictures from my phone and put the time on it

I changed the concept to morning where its all quiet and calm and night is busy and loud.

Time shown here is opposite as I tried to portray how time changes. During morning, usually everyone is woken up, getting ready to go to office/school or etc. At night, most people use the time to sleep.

I decided to show it quiet in the morning. Everyone is still sleeping while at night till 3AM its busy and loud.

Time is available in many forms. It helps us to change the narrative concept and possibilities.

In my studio, I have particles that are trapped in an abstract shape in black and white aesthetic. Initially they are stuck in a white bubble and by the end they are trapped in a black bubble. I thought that Time as a material is very crucial in my project since over time, I reversed what was going on in my scene. By the time it reaches the end, it loops again to the beginning in the same way. I used time to change my narrative concept and it worked well with the black and white aesthetic.

Researching about how time has been used in artworks, I found Narrative artworks such as 16-century Italian cycle of the life of Christ in art. The artist chooses to portray the story and shape time within the artwork.

For this assignment, I thought about having a different narrative possibility. Time shown here is opposite as I tried to portray how time changes. During morning, usually everyone is woken up, getting ready to go to office/school or etc. At night, most people use the time to sleep. In order to do this, I used the pictures from my phone and put the exact time that I had took it. I decided to show it quiet in the morning. Everyone is still sleeping while at night till 3AM its busy and loud. I changed the concept to morning where its all quiet and calm and night is busy and loud.
