In response to the theme of 'Found Objects', I created a street view drawing of a road, lamp posts and streetside buildings, consisting only of "Faber Castle" Connector Pens using Creative Cloud's Adobe Illustrator.
By channelling my inner child and drawing upon my childhood play, these connector pens serve as the building blocks and foundation of the overall piece. Through the addition of speech/thought, and the purposefully mispelled "Faber-Castell" pens, I tried to emphasise the child-like mentality one needed for their creativity to flourish. I showed that anything can be anything, as long as one has the imagination for it.
Similar work has been produced by "LEGO", whose works of various types of toy production, explores this theme by pushing people's imagination, young or old to their highest potiential.
Note: Faber-Castell is purposefully mispelled as children are more likely to remember the pen name wrongly.
