METHOD
Using a coyote pelt I brought into the class I’ll create a little stop motion video with an app from my phone, and then I’ll add some very simple illustrations over the top of it.
CONTEXT
The music videos for these songs have a lot of interesting illustration over live action effects, particularly Getter - Head Splitter

RESPONSE
I didn’t realise how much I was moving around with my phone until I’d already taken all of the images, so when I went to the app to stitch everything together I was constantly changing angles and lightning and it overall just looked messy and lazy. I tried to fix this by pulling all of the images into photoshop, picking out the ones that didn’t have obnoxious camera angle changes and then I used clone-stamp to try and fill out the gaps from where I’d unintentionally changed the framing to give the illusion of the coyote filling the frame. I wasn’t particularly successful in this, so I dropped the idea and instead picked one of the images and made a little looping gif of a stylised coyote yelling over the top of the photograph.
