Character, Place and Events
Method
In order to explore the idea of an environment as a character and the way in which it can impact the emotional response of the user in an interactive setting, I will create two highly contrasted environments in Unity. In doing so I hope to explore the way in which an environments use of light and colour can impact the mood of the character interacting with it.
Context
Miegakure: A 4D puzzle-platorming game
This puzzle-platforming game has insipired this piece because of the way it uses changes within the environment to stimulate responses within the user. This is achieved through creating and utilising the 4D space to transport the user to a hidden area within the environment, relative to my practice.
Response
I have created a Unity scene with two contrasting environments. The first is light and bright, whilst the other is dark and confined. The contrast of light and colour demonstrates the how both positive and negative emotional responses can be created within users.
