Animated the candle and hand icon for my animations. They will act as visual prompts for the user to pinch their hand above the Leap Motion device for my One Hundred Ghost Stories book installation, and will be embedded within the ghost story animations themselves.
The candle animation was created by first illustrating the candle in Illustrator, imported into After Effects, then created a realistic flame using this tutorial.
The hand animation was first illustrated in Illustrator, then I used the Puppet Pin tool in After Effects to animate the pinching action.
After working with effects and the puppet pin tool in After Effects to animate my ghost stories, I found that animating the candle and hand this time round much quicker and easier than before. As they say, practice makes perfect!
