As a person who easily gets lost and is still quite new in town so I decide to stick to campus ground for my observation. I observe a plant in a faux-cement pot. Through Google search, I assume this plant is called Sarcoccocca Winter Gem, one of the plant originated from the UK, not native to Australian soil.
I instantly feel a connection.
After hours wandering online and offline, I’ve been burying head in references trying to find an inspiration to prosecute the idea of Sarcoccocca Winter Gem, the connection between the image I captured and myself in a more of a philosophical way.
I’ve spent so much time trying to get the idea to work then finally, after a couple more research in Botany, I realize that maybe the plant that I’m so obsessed about turns out to be a different plant. This discovery flips the whole table and I am now stuck with the art-block and idea-block. I’ll get back to this mess tomorrow.
