For abstraction, I wen with an idea inspired by Scott McCloud. He talks about how the abstraction of the human face in comic book stories relies on the minimalisation of unnecessary elements, and the emphasis of more significant elements

In this sense, I abstracted a face down to an eye and a mouth, both in one. I combined some experiments that I played with earlier in the semester with After Effect and kept on merging them all together until I had an abstraction of somebody chomping down food by using abstract shape and movement combinations.
