Method:

I make a model in ZBrush and print it out. Then I use different color plastic bags with a flashlight to get a great light effect to make the environment for taking a photo of my model.

Response:

For the modeling part, it was without any concept, I just use a sphere to drag to some shape and see what it can be. I do some part like the armor on the head, and make those elements on the chest as well, try to make the character more interesting.

I ask the online shop for 3D print this model. And polish a little by myself.

I used scissors to cut out some colorful plastic on the packaging of the articles, hoping to get the effect of color gel through the flashlight.

Reflection:

It was a fun experience that plays with the material, making trash become your art element or make then serve for your work. Light with different colors can provide different feelings or atmosphere to the audience, and light effects also can influence people’s visual sense. Shadow and light are symbiotic. So I think the next step for my work will be playing with light and shadow.
