Theme: Play and Object

Context: The puzzel game 'the gardens between' could be find at: 'https://thevoxelagents.com/gardensbetween/'. I plaied this game several days ago and I find this game use a lot of everyday objects to design puzzles. Those objects in this game is really big. It changes the relationship between people and objects. In my work, I want to explore the same theme. That is how everyday objects could be used to help player solve puzzles/ overcome obsticals.

Method: Before I did my project. I made a mindmap to think about the object I could use in games. Then I choosed the toster as my object and designed the game process. I show this process by making an animation in C4D. In this animation, the character(slime) used the toster to overcome obsticals.

Respond: The animation looks great. If I have enough time, I'd like to make a series of short animations like this to figure out different ways to use objects. What I didn't do well is: I fail to find a sound effect for slime. It makes the animation seems a little bit strange. And The motion of this animation isn't very good. I need to spend more time to adjust it.
