APD WEEK3-PLAY AND OBJECT:https://youtu.be/xoOMslZCYz0
context
Architect Simon Nicholson came up with the theory of "loose parts" in 1970. He taught me how to find inspiration in my environment for materials that can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, arranged, taken apart Or use alone.
'Fresh Guacamole' designed by pes in 2013 creates a new stop-motion short film by composing similar objects for various different things in the room.
The objects in it are all things that are often seen, and the objects they have been redesigned and combined have made me have a very interesting idea. It is to use the hair on my dog and cat to make a new character and interact with other things to produce an interesting story and interactive effect.
I researched a lot of interesting stop motion animation and stop motion movies. Lost & Found is a stop motion short film that tugs at the heartstrings (https://youtu.be/35i4zTky9pI) by Lucy J. Hayes. Two models made of wool are used to make a story in a small space. The movement of the objects and the expression control are wonderful and gave me some knowledge about freeze frame.
method
I stabbed the target countless times in the hair, and it steadily turned into a dog-like creature. Then I thought about little monsters about Pokemon, and I created another Pokemon ball. I started fixing my camera and keeping the scene steady to avoid a situation where the scene ended up changing. Finally, by moving and filming the actions of each character, planting the Pokémon-King battle scene in the pr, and adding the sound, my final work was done.
Response
In response to the theme of Play and Object, I cut out part of my dog and cat's hair and made 1 "Pokémon" with needles. At the beginning I planned to create a heartwarming story because my dog It's 8 years old and I want to make a doll out of its fur. When I was done and looked at it, I found that making a hilarious story was more suitable for it!
reflection
The process of making it was so much fun! Although my hand also took 3 points of damage.
Maybe this is my first stop motion animation. I found that the number of frames I shot was too few, and I didn't have a good grasp of the motion law of the object, which caused the picture to have a strange feeling. For the light, I think a light coming from the front would be more suitable. Then my character actually had a heavier head and a lighter tail. This caused my characters to not fight properly, but I filmed them by using double sided tape and before it wrestled. In general, the problems encountered are very interesting, and I am very interested in going further into this area.
