Nature and play

Context:

On the subject of nature, I learned about some nature games last week while preparing my presentation, and they are relatively traditional and excellent. This week, MY idea is more experimental. I refer to many collage works, all of which have strong cultural flavor, and many of them also have themes related to nature. At the same time, I observed the vicinity of my living area, and the atmosphere of nature and humanity was very strong. Therefore, I wanted to sort out the relevant natural and cultural elements through observation and photography, and then randomly combine them to achieve a collage effect similar to blind box.

Method:

I collected many plant elements such as leaves, flowers, shrubs, and so on through the camera. There are also many elements of human activities as potted carriers such as fire hydrants, mailboxes, water pipes, and so on. Then photoshop the material out. And tidy up and assign the relevant layers. Finally, 50 sets of natural collage materials were randomly combined through material integration and programming, and the effect is shown in the figure.

Reflection:

In this attempt, observation and recording are my weaknesses. Even though I live in Guangzhou (subtropical climate), natural elements everywhere are often overlooked by me. So I found a lot of valuable natural life in the process, such as damp corners, the depths of bushes (not much fungus), and even the back of a garbage can. Natural elements are everywhere, and I am also designing and observing elements of human civilization so that I can collect them as appropriate carriers. The final product surprised me because this accidental combination revealed a concentrated and exaggerated landscape -- plants growing out of various objects, just like a gift from nature, like an open blind box. Every random picture made me curious and surprised.
