With this week’s task, I’m going to think about how I observe myself, what kinds of way I could use to observe.

Context: 

When I heard the theme play & self, I did research where https://www.thevintagenews.com/2016/06/30/humans-evolved-owl-raccoon-17th-century-french-artists-portraits-will-give-answer-2/. Based on that, I was wondering if human have a similar appearance to animals, what would be the appearance of human beings, such as having an animal's eyes, nose or mouth.I've also watched a video about hybrid animals and human,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLkfCX2hzsQ As for the self, what we should look like in our eyes. What would we be like if humans had not evolved from apes or monkeys, but from other animals.

Method: 

I’ve watched a video about swapping face in PShttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOQ25Kp6jPY. So I attempt to swap two different face between a animal and my face. Not totally change, for example just use animals’ eyes to put on my face.this is not a suitable way through that video. It is more like Montage collage.But I can imagine if I had the eyes of a lion and the mouth of a rabbit. It may look like a monster and weird , but if people evolved from different animals, it seems to be amazing.

Response:

Through this detect and practice. I realized and had some inspiration regarding to character design of game and animation. Which is that based on this swapping face between animals, I could use this idea to build structures of characters.

This could improve idea of role game configuration. I played a game of SINESPACE. That is really interesting and engaging game. And it also give me some thoughts. We can create our appearance to what we want to look like. Thinking about knead face system, everyone can be the maker, the creator. We create a character that incorporates multiple archetypes. You can create a character, partly based on yourself, partly based on other creatures, or characteristics of different genders. This is an inspired approach, and I call this a mash-up
