context:

Recently, I am teaching my nephew to play the clay. We found that although clay has strong plasticity, it has poor setting ability, just like fermented dough. Until the clay is completely air dried, we can't guarantee that its shape can meet our expectations. This is actually very interesting, so we can make different effects for a long time. This feature of clay inspired me. I wanted to cast a mask with gypsum a long time ago, but gypsum is very boring. On the contrary, although no one uses clay to cast a mask because of its poor plasticity, it is also this feature. Can it also create different effects.

method:
It was a very interesting attempt. I bought a new box of clay and shaved it off (recently the weather was too hot). I looked in the mirror and rubbed the clay in my hand to remove the strange slime on it. Then paste it on my face one by one and distinguish the muscles and volume of my face with different colors.They were very bright and fit my face. I made a mask for my face in front of the mirror. It was very interesting. I even felt very comfortable.

Of course, I can't guarantee the safety of the clay, so I took it off before the clay was completely air dried and pasted it on a board. As a result, I wanted to laugh very much, because my face was so funny. After the clay was slowly air dried, my face also slowly changed, and even I thought it expressed my mood, which was very interesting.

reflection:

This attempt was actually very hasty, but it was quite in line with my expectations. I didn't tangle with clay, followed my muscle structure, and didn't deliberately make light and shadow. I was very casual and lost a lot of tight feeling, so the visual effect of the result was very surprising to me, because I got a very sad and funny mask, which reflected my recent mood, I don't know it's a coincidence, but on the contrary, I'm a little relieved, because I'm very happy in front of the mirror and decorate myself with mud like a child. Although after I take off the mask, the mask is deformed due to pulling or drying, but the effect it achieves is exactly what I want, very real and artistic.
