Play and Observation

Context

Observation is the way we practice our vision skills and memories. Life Draw allows us to observe the human body to create better and more realistic animation, also allow us to become more creative in character design. Some artists using the same method to use his illustration to photographers’ images, such as Lucas Levitan. He creates an often-humorous take on the original work. Jiranarong is Thailand Artist also observing the photograph created his character to develop humorous storytelling.

“Paying attention to the world around you will help you develop the extraordinary capacity to look at mundane things and see the miraculous. “ (Michael Michalko)

I want to use the environment that I always surround by, and create my characters.

Method

Using 360 camera to capture the photos and adding my illustration.

Response

The environment that I’m familiar with and surround it most of my days, I want to capture the environment I use to and create my character that present of myself and my imagination. Playful by the way you view the work, in each different side can view different character. On the right-hand side, Homie one of the Magi student usually made his work in sound then I create this creepy and cute style of a music notes character. To pay attention to my surrounding helped me develop more ideas.

Reflection

The drawing process is time-consuming, I was thinking to add animation in a 360 space also to test my studio project. However, it was an interesting process I also learn some photoshop toll from Ben from Magi and I get some great feedback. Some of the feedback I get was they love the character I created and like the ideas of using 360 space.
