Theme: Play and Force
Method:
I made a plant 3D model in Blender and I set up cloth physics on leaves in Unity.
I also made rain effects by using particles in Unity.
Context:
WIBLR https://experiments.withgoogle.com/wiblr
I looked at WIBLR, and I found the impact of external factors. I can play with Click, Drag, Double-click, and Space function and make the image hilarious.
Soft Buddy https://experiments.withgoogle.com/soft-buddy
By using the mouse, I can jiggle and shake the character around the screen. I was influenced by this character's weird response to the user's touch.
I was influenced by these Experiments with Google and made an interaction by applying Unity's cloth physic on the plant. It's a little weird, but I thought that the user can find more fun.
Response:
In my studio project, I have been thinking about the ways in which users and plants can interact. I want to convey a sense of intimacy, such as Tamagotchi, beyond the fact that they grow virtual plants through the game I'm currently building in the studio. I used cloth physics to create the plant reaction when the user touches it. This is likely to give the user a more vivid feeling of real interaction with the plant. I also made rain particles and it collides with world or objects and is thrown back in reaction. I wanted to make the raindrops and the plant work as an external force on each other, but I couldn't find a way to work it out.
