APD_Week 3 play& object

In response to this week’s theme, I made a small game with my friend. This game was limiting people's perception way of an object, then ask them what it is. 

Context

This week’s theme was play and object. I thinking with a old old story”blind men and the elephant”,it is about the blind fondle the elephant and describe the appearance of the elephant. The blind man who only touch elephant’s leg believe “elephant” was like pillar, someone who touch elephant’s tail believe elephant was very small and like a string. 
Bruce Goldstein (2010) comment on this story said:“The moral of the parable is that humans have a tendency to claim absolute truth based on their limited.”
When someone can’t see or feel whole of an object, they will have some strange associations. If try looking at such situations from another perspective, these blinds’ imagination was not limited by vision. as a onlooker for this story, we will lough at blind’s feeling of the elephant, but if I think of myself was a blind, I will have similar answer with them.
So for this theme, I make a guessing game with my friend. This game aim to break the first visual impression of an object.
My respiration was also come from a guessing game, someone will put an object in a box, and player will touch it and guessing what is it. I refer to this game’s rule and change some parts in the original rule.

Method

1.Find some object I didn’t use  
2.Find a brush and a cup of ink
3.Make every objects with ink 
4.Print( press them on the paper)
5.Take photos 
6.Send photo to my friends and ask her what she see or think.

Reflection 
From this game, I got some feedback from my friends. Different with the box guessing game, I did not block people’s view, but I using other way to interfere with visual effects on impression. After the game, I notice I could use colourful pigment to making this “print”, then I can got more clearly images.
For the outcome, I did not have enough conception before I start working with that. I did not shooting any videos with how I working with this project. I only take some photos. So the final video was very boring. And I think for my friend’s result, I could show them in more visual way.  Also I should ask more people, I think I could get other interesting result, and if I have more feedback of this image, I could have deeper study and more way to make the outcome.
