Context

Since I have come into contact with various cultures, I have discovered that people's gestures, some patterns, etc., represent different meanings in different cultural backgrounds. I thought of the four patterns of playing cards, and after consulting, I found that different countries may have different understandings of a certain pattern.  For example, some people think that spades are swords, and some think they are diamonds. The theme this time is play and objects. I think people have different understandings of the same objects, which is a good theme for games.

Method

I chose to use playing cards as the main item of the game. Through the association of words by players, they choose the patterns they think are suitable. I call this game "Who is a stranger", which means that if someone chooses a playing card with a different pattern from others, then this round of the game will fail.

Response

First find four players and a deck of playing cards, and divide the cards evenly among the players.

Then one of them chooses to say a word, which can be a noun, a verb or an adjective.

Next, everyone chooses the patterns they think fit to show them together.

Players with different patterns from others must take out a card from their own cards and distribute them to players with the same pattern. (For example, if two people are different, each player will give out two cards to two people with the same pattern. If two people have the same or all people have different patterns, then this round will be skipped. When only one person is different from the others, he will have a total of  Three cards need to be given)

In the end, the person with the most winning cards wins.

Reflection

First of all, I think this little game fits the theme very well. People have different understandings of the object and create a gameplay. The video in the class also gave me a lot of inspiration. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough things on hand.  When I reviewed this topic after class, I focused on people's different views of the same object. I began to understand the meaning of this course, just to create new and interesting play.
