In making this moodboard, I was looking at aesthetic qualities that I am interested in exploring down the track in this semester.
One of my favourite animators at the moment is Raman Djafari, who animated a fantastic music video for Lucky Chops. His style is really bizarre, surreal, and psychedelic, with fluid movement for all objects and characters. He has a very particular cartoon style that is recognisable, and his use of colour is bright, garish and intense. It's completely unlike my own style and it is something I want to study and emulate in my practice
I want to look at use of colour in other examples both in contemporary and more classically leaning art and find ways to explore it through animation.
I want to look more at character design in a bizarre, abstract lens, so I'm going to look into iterative design processes to create said designs.
