For this week's theme play and stillness. I make my works for the main from the perspective of stillness. What I want to express is that a wolf declares its sovereignty in the silent night. And in this silent picture, many feelings can be accepted. The figure of the wolf standing still on the hillside seemed to be announcing something. And in this quiet night, a bloody battle might take place in this area. And I used a model to create this kind of scene, adding various objects.
Clean grass and bottomless woods. Although there is only one wolf standing there, you can feel from the picture that there may be countless wolves rushing out of the deep forest at any time. And it might be curious what kind of enemy this wolf is facing. This is kind of open reverie. This is what I want to express from this work. Because in many cases, the detailed expressions through active pictures and sounds will destroy the expectations of the audience. If a stillness picture is provided for the audience to reverie, it may become more exciting.
Make this scene with blender
I share my work with a friend who likes to write stories. Then let him think of any story based on this picture. And he thought that the story was completely different from the one I thought. This is enough to prove my guess. Every audience who receives enough rich picture elements can associate a different storyline. Because they directly accept the stories they think are wonderful in their hearts. And this is what I want to achieve.
In fact, my work is mainly based on letting stillness happen in the brain. I think I got a successful result from the feedback my friend gave me. Because I mainly create a scene, to provide information for others to associate. I think this kind of thinking seems to happen very often in life, but few people pay attention to it. I continue to think about how to use this method and idea to make a game. I feel that freedom and openness are not necessarily in terms of playability. Let players think about the direction of their own story, that is also another free and open game method.
