APD-week 1-Play and self-tag

THEME

The theme of week 1 is Play and Self.

CONTEXT

Who is ——？

Whenever we ask this question, the answer is often a person's label.

For example, he is a painter and she is a person who loves music.

I was inspired by artist Frida. She is a painter famous for her self-portraits. In addition to the iconic eyebrows and flower headdress, she also has a famous label of feminist.

I also was inspired by artist John Yuyi. She is a visual artist. I was inspired by her most famous art project-Temporary Tattoo. She uses her face or models’ faces as canvas to show people's attachment to social media in the form of tattoo stickers, which giving people a strong visual impact.

METHOD

I use the hand-drawn method to draw my own tag. My favorite cartoon character is a cute frog. I drew the frog as a paper mask and put it on the head. My hobby is music, so I drew notes. My birthday is 25 September and my background is finance. I chose two math formulas that I hated the most in class as tags because they impressed me.

RESPONSE

I want to use this labeling method to represent myself. My original idea was to make an interactive device. When Georgina is called out through the sound device, my hand-drawn icons will appear on the screen. But because of lockdown, I cannot borrow some devices. I came up with a plan again. Through john yuyi's work, I thought that making a face filter is also an interactive way. So I made a face filter with spark AR to show Who am I. 

I have uploaded to Instagram as a filter and it have been accepted by ins. (I found some friends to help me test the filter, Thank you guys!)
