My main goal for this week's theme of Time was to really let loose on exploring new techniques of animating and expressing my idea. One of my motivating intentions this week in terms of Play has been to consider the idea of 'Wouldn't it be funny if...?' Basically, when I am working on an artpiece, I sometimes have a passing thought of 'wouldn't it be funny if I did (insert out of the box idea or thought)'. So I am trying to take this motivation and apply it in this class because for me, the definition of Play lines up with doing things because it's fun.
I started out by wanting to animate an endless tunnel. This took me to Adobe After Effects and I learned to generate a repeating sequence of shapes creating the illusion of a tunnel. This links to the idea of time going on infinitely, looping onwards and onwards without end.
I then had a thought of 'wouldn't it be funny if I made a bearded dragon ride this tunnel like a slide' and then went on to use simply drawn frames and motion tweening to create this sense of bearded dragons sliding through the tunnel
