Premise: What if people have more limbs?//Chloe
Background of the story:
This work examines ideas of human's greed through character design. And it was delivered via thumbnails.
By creating thumbnails, I am able to show a world that people do not care about their appearances any more, the only thing they‘ve been chasing is limbs. We cannot tell what a person looks like by their face. The method of recognizing people is the arm they are wearing or the quantity of the arms they are wearing. Eventually, they are drowned by arms.
Similar work can be seen in the game Called Inside,which is a puzzle-platformer adventure game developed and published by Playdead.
the very first and best method to use. It helps to take further thinking of the story. During the workshop, the first time I work Atul, he inspired me to use a flowchart to telling the story. And I try it once in folio 2, I think it’s a good method to present a logical story. I will keep learning it.
Moreover, I realized how important it is for using a storyboard to visualise a film. It will rapidly improve the working flow. And the process of illustrating storyboard is a good way to iterate a story. After the whole semester, I found the combination of the mind map, storyboard and video prototyping works very well for me.I’ll keep exploring the method and try to find the most efficient approach for me.
Overall, all the courses in semester 1 are extremely helpful to me. I hope I could use all the method I have gained smoothly in my future works. Salute to Kate, and thanks to all my peers.
