Animation Narrative -Week 10 - Light

In response of the theme of light,I drew a sketch which is composed  of only a character and light.There are varies of functions,such as creating atmosphere,make the character stand out and obscure details which is not important.

By drawing the picture,I explored that flat lighting is mediocre and lose mood and not natural.Adjusting the direction of key light can add shadows to create atmosphere and make the brightness difference between the character and background more obvious to highlight the character.

I got inspiration from a video which tells how to adjust lighting to fulfill the need of storytelling.
