Animation, games and interactivity week 2 short animation challenge

This week the 20 minute short animation challenge was to take a basic shape and convert it to another object. For this purpose, I created a compact disc (CD) from a torus preset shape available in maya. It took various attempts to do so.

In the first attempt, I started with a sphere 3d shape to convert it into a compact disc. As animation got more complicated and had glitches in between, I decided to use a torus shape instead. This helped me create a smoother animation. Then i applied basic material on the shape and did basic lighting. Following which, the animation was ready to play using playblast
