This week I researched about the following works related to my field of work

I. PRESTO (2008)

1. Presto is an animated short film produced in 2008 by Pixar Animation Studios. The genre of this animated movie is comedy.
2. This movie is directed by Doug Sweetland and it is the first movie he has ever directed. Dough is a great animator and has done animations in various movies such as toy story 2, finding nemo, cars, the incredibles and so on.
3. The movie revolves around a magician named Presto and his rabit named Alec. Presto's hat is connected with that of a wizard backstage and the hiilarious portion of the movie is when the rabit refuses to cooperate with the magician and this further gives birth to humilating situations for presto.
4. The movie has smooth animation which was generally much appreciated by the public and the film makers have taken inspirations from real stage locations such as the Royal Opera House in London to give the look and feel of a realistic environment

II. MADAME TUTLI PUTLI

1. Madame Tutli Putli is a stop-motion animated short film created by Chris Lavis and Maciek in 2007.It was produced by the National Film Board Of Canada(CFB).
2. The plot revolves around Madame Tutli Putli and her overnight train journey. She boards a train in the night along with multiple belongings. In the train, she comes around many people including a young boy whose grandfather is asleep and a tennis player. Eventually she falls asleep and when she wakes up, it is dark all around. She realises that some robbers had entered the train and they emmited a sleeping gas to put everyone asleep. She even panics and attempts to run away but is stopped by coming across a butterfly. The butterfly casts a spell on her and pulls her away and the end remains untold.
3. The movie has great narration through animation and engages the viewer with it.
4. The movie has won many awards including the best film award at 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

III. FOR THE BIRDS (2000)

1. For the birds is an animated movie produced by pixar animation studios and was released on June 5, 2000. It was directed by Ralph Eggleston. It was re-rendered into 3d in the year 2012.
2. This movie is about birds sitting on a wire who keep mocking and immitating one large bird, trying to immitate it and gossip about.
3. In the 74th academy awards, this movie won the award for best animated short film
4. The 3d version of the movie is excellent in terms of the narration, animation, colour combination, 3d models and rigs. The sound effects used are very appropriate including the sound of birds.
