I. INFRA

1.  Infra is a game developed and published by Loiste Interactive. It was released in January 2016. It has three parts. These three parts were released over a period of two years and the final part was released in the year 2017. This game is a 3d game and is played in first person. The 3d environments designed in this game are really worth seeing and appreciating.

2. This is a first person game and it is an adventure game. The gameplay of this game mainly focuses on solving puzzles to move to each environment. In this game, the person plays the role of an engineer who carries a camera to click pictures of the structural damage happening around a certain city. Taking pictures or not is a person’s individual option but It ultimately brings benefits to the player towards the end of the game. The main motive is to solve various puzzles and move through various environments. In the gameplay, the player has to make a choice between saving his own self and saving the whole city. These themes are important to the game as these are the only form of gameplay available in this game.

3. The work makes a contribution to the field because of its unique gameplay and setting. This game has a really unique concept which was not seen before in other games and the concept is what makes the game stand out. This game was praised by critics and has won many awards. It is also played and appreciated worldwide by many people. It was also labelled by critics as the “Civil Engineering Game we’ve been waiting for”. The environment of the game is also appreciated a lot by many people. The environments and setting of the game also make it unique.

II. TACOMA

1. Tacoma was released by Fulbright in the year 2017 across various platforms such as Windows, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One. It was further released in the year 2018 for PlayStation 4. The genre of this game is adventure. The game is not only interesting in the way it works, but also in the way it behaves because the characters in the game are not actually visible. They are only visible as colorful silhouettes and we can see their rigs. They look as if they are being rigged in a 3d software.

2. The game is an exploration adventure game which takes place inside an empty space station. The space station is not actually empty but seems to be so. The game is set in the future, in the year 2088. The player takes the form of the main character, known as Amy. She has a AR device with her which allows her to view various things such as the conversations, actions and doings of other characters. These conversations and actions can be further manipulated and changed by the player. The player gets multiple options too like recording, rewinding or fast forwarding these things if required. The player also gets an option further to either keep watching everything or to keep watching and follow the characters in the game to various rooms and watch whatever they are doing. Following the characters, the player gets a chance to gather clues and move ahead in the game.

3. This game makes a contribution in the field as it has one unique concept, great environment and setting. The game has been appreciated not only for the concept and gameplay but also for the overall looks. It has also won multiple awards and critics have appreciated it worldwide such as the best storytelling award, best audio award, Xbox game of the year, excellence in narrative and so on.

III. ETHER ONE

1. Ether one is a first person adventure game and has optional puzzle solving. It was developed by a British company which functions as an independent firm, called White Paper Games. It was one of the first games released by the company and was released in the year 2015 for Windows Initially and eventually also for PlayStation 4. This game Is a 3d game

2. In this game the player has a job to look into and investigate the thoughts of a 69-year old woman who got diagnosed with dementia. The player acts as a “Restorer” in the game because the player has the ability in the game to project himself into the mind of that woman and tries to restore her memories back. The game takes place inside a town and the player has to solve a puzzle. Once one puzzle is solved, the memory relating to that particular puzzle can be played back again. Very often, the puzzles have no relation with the memory. But the player is encouraged to take every clue and solve every puzzle. As the player moves through the game, he is still unsure of what has the most significance to the game and what has the least.

3. The game has a really nice location of a town and takes place in that town. The 3d models and environments are made really nicely and has won praises worldwide. This game also has high rankings by multiple platforms. It even won many awards worldwide and is appreciated because of the uniqueness in its concept and gameplay.
