This week I used Procreate again to create a scene, developing on my skills in 2D animation from short sequences
when I was making this, I was inspired by moths flitting outside the window at night. I wanted to evoke a specific ambience and mood through a scene. Creating a backdrop and setting in the layout was important for this, and it is something that I don't practice illustrating much.
the trickiest part of this was figuring out the pacing of the moths flickering, looping their motion and then also adding in the smoking action of the character. All of these elements coming together took the longest time in this process but I am really happy with how this came out.
something that I want to look at next is multiple human characters in a scene interacting. I also plan to start practicing drawing new things I am not used to draw, like landscapes, backdrops and also genres I have not drawn much before like sci fi machines and mechas
