The mystery of the missing case stirs up the town. While the local polices start looking into it, people also start gossiping around.
“I knew she was up for no good.” “I’ve heard she’s a
refugee and she was adopted.” “That’s why she almost flunked junior year.” “Did you know what she does as job on the weekend?” “Something nasty I bet.”
“That’s not true,” he thinks to himself.  At least, it’s not the girl he got to know. “Where would she be? Why would she run away?” He tries searching his memories, the times they hung out, the conversations they had, the things they had done together and the places they had been to.  
“…What if she didn’t run away?” The sudden realization startles him. If she’s taken, he will have to find her before anything bad happen.
