Source of my concept:
My concept comes from my week2 promise entries and the RPG world setting I've been expanding: Magic vein land. Teacher Kate's message reminded me of a certain plot in the setting, an ancient and mysterious city had a mutation. From a bustling city to a mysterious horror of decay overnight. I'd like to take the design from the Premise exercise and use animation to animate such a curved anomaly. Moreover, the contrast before and after the mutation is critical. Let’s compare before and after. A similar plot of this kind of abnormal situation contrast appeared in the animation: Berserk: The Golden Age Arc III - The Advent (2013). A solar eclipse suddenly occurred on the calm lake, the sky turned bloody, the inexplicable black devoured a group of people, and countless man-eating devils emerged from the land, and people began to panic. In general, I want to explore how to create a scene of mutation, how to show a terrifying mutation.
Before making the abnormal scene, I would like to supplement the plot settings through the mind map tool to make the settings more detailed and facilitate further design in the third week. Such as character design, style design and architectural design.
Overall reflections:
From Andrew Stanton's speech, I got a reflection: Design is very important to the storyline, and creators should follow some design principles to create. For example, giving the character the main motivation, and designing the action of the character according to the motivation. And, provide audiences with stepped content so that audiences can find answers to their questions on their own. So I will continue to learn new tools and techniques in the process of making stories and finally create an interesting story.
