After careful consideration from the bullet points I made, I decided to focus on the mother character. In the previous draft, the mother-god is a depiction of the siblings mother in real life. But I feel like the character does not have enough purpose to exist in the story rather than just being a side character.
I personally feel like the mother character is troubling my momentum in writing the story due to the fact that I’m not sure how and where should I implement her. I created a flow chart to separate her importance and not importance. As the flow chart branches, I have come to the conclusion that the story does not really need another character. If it’s a sibling story, I want to focus more on the sibling characters than actually introducing another family member. I want to create a story that revolves around siblings as a family and how they are connected as a family no matter how much the fight. In conclusion, the mother character is scrapped.
