Class summary
In this lesson we discussed Dialogu. Dialogue can be divided into three types: narration, monologue and dialogue.
Narrator:
Narrator can be used in storytelling to express the intervention of the narrator and to supplement the psychological state of the person in the context of the time, adding some lyricism or adding some subjective point of view (God's perspective) to the story. But when the narration is overused it makes the audience feel like the story is not going to go on and it's a way to complement the flaws in the story.
Monologue:
When we cannot express the mental state of the characters with actions or actions, we can use the form of monologue to make some supplementary content.
Dialogue:
Dialogue is a very important element in film creation, and it can be used to advance the story. A key word can not only describe the character, but also express the thoughts and sentiments of the people in the middle. They reveal characters' personalities, express thoughts and feelings, explain characters' relationships and backgrounds, link stories, explain camera content and drive stories.
Story beats
Here, I used dialogue to change the story of the race between the tortoise and the rabbit. The tortoise and the hare race is a famous classic fairy tale. Everyone knows that the tortoise and the hare race ends with the tortoise winning the race to teach everyone that persistence will win. I added dialogue in the middle of the story, "I bet you win." I added dialogu to reverse the story.
