Class summary

In this lesson we discussed Dialogu. Dialogue can be divided into three types: narration, monologue and dialogue.

Narrator:

Narrator can be used in storytelling to express the intervention of the narrator and to supplement the psychological state of the person in the context of the time, adding some lyricism or adding some subjective point of view (God's perspective) to the story. But when the narration is overused it makes the audience feel like the story is not going to go on and it's a way to complement the flaws in the story.

Monologue:

When we cannot express the mental state of the characters with actions or actions, we can use the form of monologue to make some supplementary content.

Dialogue:

Dialogue is a very important element in film creation, and it can be used to advance the story. A key word can not only describe the character, but also express the thoughts and sentiments of the people in the middle. They reveal characters' personalities, express thoughts and feelings, explain characters' relationships and backgrounds, link stories, explain camera content and drive stories.

Story beats

  1. The tortoise and the hare are running in a race
  2. The rabbit runs faster and more easily than the turtle
  3. The rabbit is resting. The rabbit looked at the tortoise leisurely. But the tortoise insisted on going on.
  4. The tortoise was the first to the finish line, while the hare walked slowly to the finish line.
  5. The tortoise stood on the podium and looked at the rabbit. The rabbit carried many bags of money.
  6. The rabbit sees the turtle's confusion. He says, "I bet you win."

Here, I used dialogue to change the story of the race between the tortoise and the rabbit. The tortoise and the hare race is a famous classic fairy tale. Everyone knows that the tortoise and the hare race ends with the tortoise winning the race to teach everyone that persistence will win. I added dialogue in the middle of the story, "I bet you win." I added dialogu to reverse the story.

Here are some of the things I tell the audience:

  1. The race between the tortoise and the rabbit is just like a real race. Many people gamble. Bet on who will win.
  2. In reality, the hare runs faster than the tortoise, and most people think the hare will win. So more people bet on the rabbit to win. This is logical.
  3. But the rabbit bet on the turtle to win the race.
